3801 Trials

A trial to Waterfall is scheduled for next Tuesday, 24 August. The loco will
leave Eveleigh at 9.40 am and arrive Waterfall at 10.35. It will have only
one carriage attached. It will leave for the return to Eveleigh Tender first
at 12.45 pm and arrive Eveleigh at 1.50.

Assuming all is OK, a further trial is scheduled for Thursday 26th. This
movement will comprise four vehicles, including a water gin. 3801 will leave
Eveleigh at 8.32 am, pass Hurstville at 8.57, Sutherland at 9.12, Waterfall
at 9.36; Thirroul 10.09, Wollongong at 10.20pm, Unanderra attach to Cockatoo
Run and depart 10.58; Arrive Robertson at 1.15 pm; detach from Cockatoo Run
and proceed to Moss Vale to arrive at 1.43. Returns to Eveleigh via Picton
(2.53), Campbelltown (3.20), Kingsgrove (4.02) to arrive at 4.25pm.

Now the colour!!!!

Well at lunch time today (Friday) there was still plenty of red paint
showing, but alas by now it should have been all black (undercoat). It can
be expected to remain black (or is it a deep grey?) for a while.
