Mozart's music has been shown to have a number of therapeutic effects,
although no-one is quite sure why. Mozart himself suffered from a
neurological problem affecting his moods, and was at his best when composing
or playing music. It is thought that he learned to compose music which
helped his own problem.

Mozart is being used, successfully, in the treatment of children with mood
disorders.

His music has also been shown to rejuvenate the tiny hairs in the inner
ear - alleviating loss of high frequency hearing caused by excessive
exposure to noise or loud music.
