Bad news for Transrapid in Germany II

In the board of directors of Deutsche Bahn (German Rail), Transrapid
objectors who intend to cancel the Hamburg to Berlin maglev project, are
likely to have a majority. That’s what german papers reported this weekend.

The board of directors has 20 members, 10 of them are unionists, 1 is a
representative of the green party.

The green party has always been against Transrapid, the railroad trade union
GdED is against it since the newest cost and passenger frequency assumptions
have been published last week.

Costs up, revenues down, single track rumours, possible anti-TR-majority.
Things look bad for Transrapid.
