Standard Gauge connected to Seymour Railway Heritage Centre- "It's Thru!"

    Today 22nd April  a third (standard gauge) rail was completed from the
dual gauge turntable through the broad gauge No.3 carriage road through to
the existing BG track inside the SRHC's yard.
    To mark this occassion B74 on SG bogies displaying an "It's Thru!"
headboard broke through streamers on the SRHC's back gate, at 1132am  then
proceeded inside the depot, to become the first standard gauge item of
rolling stock to enter the SRHC's depot.
    This ceremony marked the end of 3 years of negotiations with the
PTC/VicTrack, much expense, and hours of volunteer labour lead by the
President Colin Rutledge.
    This SG trackage will increase the SRHC's capacity to store and run SG
trains.
