Countrylink is the branch of State Rail (NSW) that runs country passenger
services in NSW, and also to Brisbane and Melbourne. They operate a fleet of
8 XPT's and 6 Xplorers, as well as one locomotive-hauled set for the weekly
Broken Hill and Griffith services, as well as co-ordinating the
sub-contracted services which connect with trains as Cootamundra, Wagga
Wagga, Canberra, Lithgow, Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo, Tamworth, Armidale,
Newcastle, Taree, Grafton, Casino and Murwillumbah.
Their website (was down last week, I believe) is
http://www.countrylink.nsw.gov.au - it has reasonable photos of the trains.
