The Stony Crossing line had services suspended in 1943. It could not be closed as it
was opened under the cross borders act with NSW. It required a NSW act for the final
disposal and closure of the land, even though it was a VR line. NSW enacted the act
in the 1980's sometime allowing for proper closure of the line.

As an aside, all the lines that radiate out of Victoria into NSW are covered by the
same act and require the same legislation for proper closure.
