It was interesting to note the timetable for the new SeaCat service from
Melbourne to Georgetown in the summer holidays. Given the Georgetown
terminals proximity to the Bell Bay line, perhpas TasRail could consider
allowing a shuttle passenger service to Hobart meeting the two scheduled
crossings? Maybe the restored DP's currently being operated out of
Glenorchy would be adequate? Or better still, why not, with the two
preservation societies co-operation, run regular X class drawn trains?
