This is something that used to drive me nuts when I was a student at RMIT
Bundoora, before completion of the tram. I had to catch a route 561 (?) bus from
Macleod station - the drivers of this bus were very concious of train connections
and always held the bus to make convenient connections for Macleod Tech and
Latrobe Uni students.

Then it was onto the Plenty Rd tram from Latrobe Uni....you'd roll towards
Bundoora (the terminus was at McLeans Rd at that stage). and see a bus just
*arriving* from Mill Park. The tram would stop at the traffic lights, the bus
(routes 563 and 564) would do it's 'U' turn in front of the tram, pull into the
interchange.....then pull out just as the tram was rolling into the terminus! The
Dyson's drivers had absolutely no excuse for this, but did it time and time
again......

Of (minimal) interest were the route 563 and 564 bus destination rolls, which
often simply said "TRAM" for services terminating at the tram interchange....it
looked a bit odd on a bus!

Cheers,
CH.
