Re: Ghan to Melbourne
When it arrived in Adelaide on Wednesday, it was being pulled by both
aboriginal-liveried locomotives, NR30 NR52. NR30 was uncoupled after
refuelling, and left behind. Just before departure, NR92, which I think had
just arrived on the Overland, was coupled to the front of the consist.

| AFAIK Ghan left Adelaide 80 min late on Wed.18.11 morning. I was at
| Melbourne Spencer St to see it arrive: NR52 (aboriginal livery) hauled a
| 15-car passenger set plus AMRZ motorail wagon, and arrived at pfm 1 at
| 22.19. There had been two NRs ex Adelaide. The train had passed Newport
| at 21.35, then had detached the leading NR (92) [at the Goninan depot?].
|
| The departure was at 23.18:
| NR77-AQMZ-AMPZ-HM-BG-CDF-AFC-2xBRJ-AR-ARJ-ARM-DF-AFC-2xARL-ER-HGM (17
| vehicles).
