It is software specifically developed for the SPI system.
It is up to about version 4, I think. It has no cut and
paste (e.g. cntl+c and cntl+v) or drag and drop.
Constructing a DVA or Scrolling Message is via a
laboriuosly slow process of scrolling up and down a
library window of pre installed DVA sound files and
commonly used words or phrases. DVAs are built up
from those commonly used word and phrase files. That is
why the announcements sometimes sound like Les Paterson
taking a breath, or burping mid sentence. You can type in any
scrolling message on the key board, such as planned trackwork
notices, but you cannot make up a DVA from the keyboard.
Only the preinstalled sound files can be used.
