Re: RTM to turn 3526 into oil-burner?

Actually, 3526 is to be "re-engineered" into a 39 class. It was planned
for the 39 class to be a "re-engineered" 36 class 4-6-2 when their
Belpaire boilers wore out, but that never happened.

The 36's in the RTM collection are all needed for whatever reason and as
the 35 is really only a "pre-36", it was decided that the RTM could best
illustrate the value of a 39 class by reworking 3526 into a 4-6-2.

The new loco will have 80% of the power of a 38, will be about the same
length and because of its smaller wheels will be better on hills (than a
38).

I understand it is to be painted a mustard colour with green lining and
will sport the bell which adorns the 59 from time to time.
