Not very far - a few train lengths. The continuation of the down line is
a storage siding which can probably hold two full 8-car sets; there is
the central terminal road, which fits one 8-car set clear of the
turnback crossover; and there is the tunnel with no track (other than
the link from the terminal road) extending away from the up platform -
this goes roughly as far as does the storage siding.
