Does this mean that the GMR have not been able to come up with the money
to buy the line as was initially planned? When the line was put up for
world wide expressions of interest there were only two interested parties
and it is obvious who they are. As it would seem that the preferred party
in now unable to fulfill its commitment then wouldn't it make sense to
offer it to the other party? If the line does go for sale by auction will
there be a reserve price that is deliberately prohibitive so that no one
is able to afford to buy it ? It seems that there is yet another twist to
this incredible saga.
