Demise of MetBus in Melbourne

The last day of MetBus will be Saturday 14 March. The new "Melbourne Bus
Link" private service will start the following day. Melbourne will become the
first capital city in Australia without government bus services. I understand
the Bus and Coach Society of Victoria is running a special tour in preserved
Government buses on 14 March but many enthusiasts may prefer to ride and
photograph the normal services on that day. There are several "last runs" but
the final trip on route 600 from St Kilda may capture the most attention from
enthusiasts.
