They are to be converted into touristy carriages for a Cairns - Kuranda
steam hauled service which will probably commence about the middle of next
year. Two locomotives will be available, one imported from New Zealand and
the other from South Africa. Both are being converted to oil burners in New
Zealand, before being shipped to Australia.
