"New" Locos on Tasrail\ Eyre Peninsula doings

     There have been a few rumours about new locomotives on Tasrail and 
     Tranzrail (NZ).

     1. There have been a few rumours about new locomotives on Tasrail 
     since the ATN takeover.
     
     I have contacted Tasrail regarding this.
     
     It is likely that DQs - ex-QR 1460s rebuilt in NZ, will arrive in 
     pairs from August-September 1998 through the 1998/99 financial year.
     
     There is now no indication that the ex-Westrail A types will be 
     transferred to Tasrail.
     
     Rumours of new locomotive orders appear to be unfounded.  One rumour 
     stated that Tssrail and Tranzrail would jointly order new locos.  
     Tasrail don't know anything about this.  
     
     
     2. If anyone has any information about changes on the wagon fleet on 
     the Eyre Peninsula since the ASR takeover- any transfers or repaints, 
     I would be interested to know.
