What did they do in steam days.?  More than likely hung
it over the side, unless it was a double track station
with passengers waiting on the other side.  ;-(
Heh Heh, liquid wastes, no real problem as long as a
corner of the cab or tender were available.  
Solid wastes in a crowded situation sometimes called
for the good old shovel.  Disposal in the firebox
presented no problems.  Paper for the bum, coal for the
shovel.  

If you gotta go, you go.!

BTW. .....did any of the US steamers have a crapper.?
