The three consortia chosen to proceed with second round
submissions with detailed analysis of the project are;

The Asia Pacific Transport Consortium.

Key participants, Brown & Root Engineering &
Construction Pty Ltd, incorporating Kinhill Pty Ltd,
Hutchison Port Holdings and Genesee & Wyoming.
Key advisors include, Bankers Trust Australia Ltd.


Southern Cross Consortium.

Key participants, Henry Walker Group Ltd, a major
Bruneian finance institution and Australian Transport
Network, which comprises Wisconsin Central Transport-
ation Corp, Tranz Rail Holdings, Fay, Richwhite & Co
and Berkshire Partners.
Key advisors, Macquarie Bank Ltd and the Hongkong Bank
of Australia Ltd in association with HSBC Securities.


The Northlink Consortium.

Key participants, Thiess Contractors Pty Ltd and the
