Two of RNV's research assistants do not have even a half memory of steam
through Melbourne's underground, so we are *not* putting in the effort to
research from 10 years of magazines on the hearsay of an undated rumour.
John Dennis raised the good example of Kevin, SA.
Was the first steam loco over the new sg Marree track the NM on the
piggyback wagon as part of an ARHS SA tour in the early 1960s?
In later years a 38 went to Marree while based in SA.
