Further advice has been received from Melbourne-based modeller, Graeme
Pantlin, advising that there were, in fact, three 44s painted in this
modified scheme, viz. 4440, 4442 and 4457:-

- Digest magazine Issue November, 69 reported the sighting of 4440 &
4457 freshly painted in the modified scheme;

- Digest issue January, 70 reported the repainting of 4442 in early
December, 69;

- Digest issue November, 71 reported the sighting of 4442 on 29/10/71
freshly painted back into the standard scheme.

Unable to find any reference in Digest as to when 4440 and 4457 were
repainted back into the standard scheme.

Thanks, Graeme.
