FC Redundancies.

Due to the imminent loss of Clarence Colliery and other work, totalling
2 million tonnes, FC has asked for expressions of interest from Train
Crews at Lithgow, Enfield, Port Kembla; and Yard staff at Lithgow, Inner
Harbour and Port Kembla North for voluntary redundancy or voluntary
early retirement.

The redundancy package is fairly generous;

4 weeks        in lieu of notice    (5 wks 45+ w/ 5+ yrs)
15 weeks       incentive bonus    (if offer accepted within 2 wks)

Redundancy Component

4 weeks        per year of service to 10 years
3 weeks        per year of service for years 11 to 15.

55 week cap on redundancy component. All payouts will be on new
increased rates which begin on 1st March. (approx $39750pa)
