Id really like to know what this crowd are actually going to do,as despite all
the so called breakthrus of Transport Ministers at Rail gabfests, all that
seems to have happened is that the PTC are going to lease the track from
Wodonga to Wolseley to the new crowd.
All the rest of it ,ie Perth to Parkeston ,and Wodonga to Acacia Ridge will
still be run by the current crowds who currently run them,so how the hell can
this mob be the so called one stop shop we keep hearing about.
The thorny issue of coming up with a National Set of rules and regulations for
the "National Track Network, whatever that is" seems to have been thrown out
the window as its too hard.
In essence all that we will end up with is yet another Rail Authority
pretending to be running the National Network.
There must be more rail authorities in this country today responsible for
running the least numbers of trains we have ever had on the smallest
kilometrage of track that we have ever had.
No wonder rail is going nowhere.

I feel better now.
