Freightcorp in the ACT again.

Heard on the local news this morning a spokesperson from freightcorp talking
about the building of a major freight forwarding terminal in Canberra again.
This is for apparantly the purposes of transferring containers from the Port
of Sydney to canberra and then on by road to whereever, sort of an equivalent
of Griffith or Bomen.
Of more interest though was the proposed location which seemed to be not the
old rail yards at Kingston but a completely new rail yard at Hume.
Whilst this would make sense, most of the major industrial players are or are
going to Hume .
The interesting thing is that Hume is on the Cooma line ,and Im pretty sure is
on the ARHS ACT divs bit of the line.
Would make for interesting train working.
Also on the same radio program ,the Freightcorp Spokesperson also indicated
that Freightcorp would be very shortly running trains to Melbourne.

Anyone have more details about any of this.

cheers
