Sorry to disappoint you, but the Primary/Secondary Student Passes are
still the same as before - ie. card inside plastic ticket holder.
However, you may notice that the P.T.C. is trying to get rid of old
plastic ticket holders, as they have the old Public Transport
Corporation, Met, and V/Line logos on them. Obviously try to dispose
them before the privatisation!!
As far as re-issuing of student passes is concerned, I doubt they will
do that this year. I don't think some of my station friends would be
happy, if this arrangement is made - especially not at places like
Glenferrie. This station is already busy enough without having to go
through this process again!
Finally, I guess you just have to use the open barrier gate (or "other
tickets" gates). We have an open gate down here at Glenferrie.
