This recently got me thinking (and for all you purists this is only
partially relevant to railways or tramways - maybe not at all depending
on people's opinions...), in the absence of any similar award that I am
aware of, who would be Australia's Transport Operator Of The Year
(TOOTY)?
My suggestion for Melbourne would be National Bus Co as they operate
services comparable to government bus operators (meaning much better
than other Melbourne private operators) operating in similar car
dominated middle to outer eastern suburbs ie. reasonably good frequency,
hours of operation, speed, convenience etc.
Who would others suggest as local or national nominees for TOOTY?
