'scuse me nit-picking, but as you can see, I clearly said Preston Depot,
not the workshops. The depot is out on Plenty Road near Bell Street and
serves the Bundoora and West Preston lines. The workshops to which you
refer are at the corner of St Georges Road and Miller Street, by the
"hump."

When there was a fire at Glenhuntly Depot a couple of years back, and at
least one Z1 was burnt out, I thought of Clem and Paddington Depot
straight away. Fortunately it seems Glenhuntly had sprinklers.
