It is actually No. G1, it is a 4-6-0 and it was built in 1914. Also
if I have my locomotives right G1 was the first locomotive on the
Transcontinental Railway. The restoration of this locomotive would be
a great project for the celebration of Federation.

If restoration of G1 came about there is a possibility of a Federation
train, a number of cars pulled by G1 and a diesel locomotive if needed
(a GM or a NR?), travelling to the main land capitals and some major
towns. This could get the attention of some people in Canberra, as
projects like this if played properly can pull votes or higher
ratings.
