I guess these automatic announcements have killed off the guard made
announcements that sounded just like if they were a pre-recorded
announcement. I always found it amusing how Brisbane guards never ad-libed
any announcements... they were always in the form:
Bethania... Bethania Station... Bethania when approaching a station.
(Substitute your favourite Brisbane station for Bethanina in the sentence
above).
