All going well, I will be escorting my elderly mother on a trip to
Australia, flying into Kempsey on March 21 and out on April 4. As she will
be staying with family friends, I am able to take off on my own and pursue
my own interests for some of the time. I hope to pack in as much railway
interest as I can. I am at the "pre-planning" stage and would be grateful
for any information on rail trips, museums, displays etc, and useful tips
that anyone may have. A visit to Alice might be on the cards as I haven't
been to that part of Oz yet. There are lots of other parts also unvisited
as yet too, including Perth, Adelaide and Darwin.
My other principal interest is organs, both cinema and church, and I have
been surprised by the large number of musical people that also have an
interest in railways. Information from this area would be welcome too -
not posted in the newsgroup but as email .
