New freight on Canberra Branch

With a decline in freight traffic on the Canberra branch over recent years
(reduction in the proportion of fuel coming to Canberra by rail and the
closure of the Woodlawn mine near Tarago) it is pleasing to see that
transfer of logs by rail started yesterday from Bungendore.  I am informed
that two Austrac locos were in Bungendore yard yesterday.  Both ex WA
locos, numbers not known.
