The October 1998 figures show 84% of CountryLink trains running on time.
Explanation:
"Mechanical failures and speed restrictions once again affected Countrylink's
on-time running.  Countrylink is continuing with a program to address these
issues."

On a related note, for the same time period, CityRail Suburban on time running
was 93.8%, and Intercity was 93.1%.
