The Campbelltown to Camden line had 1 in 19 grades.  I remember travelling
on it (before your time), on many an occasion the 30 class tank locos
hauling mixed trains had to have 2nd or 3rd goes at the grade when hauling
more than one milk pot or S truck and the CCA passenger car.  

The road which parallelled the line actually went into a shallow cutting
whereas the line was a few feet higher over the top of the hill!
