An old driver told me problems with rail in WA were actually because of the
Darling Ranges. Because parliament house is up in West Perth, the pollies
look down the Terrace, but can't see very far because of the Darling Ranges.
Therefore they think WA ends there, when it actually continues beyond the
hills.
