Autralia Southern Railroad now operates the remants of the SAR System.

I spoke with the Area manager of Port Lincoln whilst over there last weekend,
and it seems, if what he is saying is true, that they are likely to be an
aggressive operator.

AN let fertiliser and salt slip from rail during thier time, each being a
reasonable amount. ASR are keen to return these and other traffics to rail.

They didn't seem too interested in mixed freight.

Whilst in ‚ummins, I noticed a huge stack of NEW steel sleepers. Most are
destined to complete the upgrade of the Cummins-Pearlah-Port Lincoln section,
though some mention was made of work out towards Rudall, where a 20km/h
restriction is in force.

Kapinnie; Who knows.
