G'day,

as has occured in the past few years, a special train will operate to
Warrnambool for Warrnambool Race Day traffic on Thurs May 7.

Times from S.98/6039 are as below:

dep 21:00 pre 8248
Lara 21:11*
Werribee 21:26*
Newport 21:44*

Consist will be from East (Melbourne) end:
Norman (round end trailing)-Avoca (Kitchen end leading)-ACZ (WCR)-Murray
(Kitchen End Leading)-ACZ262 (V/Line pass Crimson)-Victoria (Kitchen End
Trailing)-ACN-BRN-BN-Mooraboool-BRS (WCR)-BRS (WCR)-1xN (V/Line pass,
HEP)+1xS (WCR)

At Warrnambool, the S will be turned to lead on the up, the set will not
be remarshalled (that's the plan at this stage anyway). The N is being
used basically to take advantage of it's HEP capability, and alleviate
the need to hire a powervan.

All other WCR services will operate as per normal timetable, 8207 and
8246 will be built up to provide additional race-day connections.
8291 will be docked in platform 3 by 6:30 for loading and preparing.
It'll be a colourful train, at the very least there will be some V/Line
pass Crimson, V/Line Heritage Brown, WCR Blue, possibly V/Line Orange in
there too (depends on which N set is used).

Cheers,
CH.
