Of course I do, as a Victorian, I am in no doubt that I am living in a
caring, sharing society where everything is to the public benefit in one way
or another, including Uncle Jeff's lovely upgraded office, the silver
service reintroduced to Parliament House, expensive Government cars replaced
every year or two, cuts to hospitals, public transport, schools, sale of
utilities to private interests who are merely there to serve the
public-making money and high profits for shareholders doesn't at all come
into it; etc,etc,etc. As part of my contemplation, I realise that most of
the government services to me no longer exist - PANCH where I was born
closed, Watsonia High School is now housing, only my Primary School still
exists. Of course I believe them......... 8^(
