Having said all that, I am most intrigued to find in the budget originally
referred to by all that the Melton Viaduct is to be repaired at quite some
PUBLIC expense. Melton Viaduct of course being one bridge in a local area
used by relatively few passenger services a day as opposed to obvious
vote-winners/losers like brand new metropolitan suburban trains (4D
included) or even the Flinders St Station/Yard/Viaduct redevelopment. This
is the same Viaduct a story was done by A Current Affair on. Which was not
in favour of the government running down public resources. Perhaps I should
start buying shares in the helium industry in preparation for all the
rapture practice about to take place...
