My point is that for a cost of $20 million which can purchase 9 Comeng
carriages or 4 4D carriages, the cost of the 9 Comeng carriages is a better
use of the given sum as the 9 single deck carriages will hold more paying
customers for your $20m than 4 4D carriages even though the 4D cars will
hold more passengers in a given space (ie that of a 3 car Comeng or 4 car
4D). Is this clear enough???????

As for the 747s vs. 767s, I would imagine the 747 will carry the airline
customers at less cost per seat otherwise the airlines probably would fly 4
x 767s - costs less and means they can provide more flights between two
destinations. Plus less chance of flying a half full plane as resources can
be better allocated if traffic isn't enough for a full 747.
