The Hay Point/Dalrymple Bay port is the biggest port in tonnage terms in
Australia and is second only to Richards Bay in South Africa as a coal port.

As someone who lives in the area I am surprised that this is not better
known. With the cane railways in the Pioneer Valley and the electrified coal
railways this is an area with more railway activity than non suburban
Victoria.
