The trouble is, you still have to download the headers, and even some
Usenet readers/programs download the entire messages whether you read the
message or not. Even worse, the diatribe is copied to every (good) news
server all over the world, and there are a bloody lot of them!

Some people pay for the bandwidth they use, and have to 'budget'
accordingly. Having to waste such with useless and inappropriate childish
flame-wars that was the majority in this newsgroup over the last five days
is increadibly unfair (as too the time wasted to sort through the shite).
It is as annoying as spam.

Try e-mail for your personal whinges against each other. It's been around
for a while now!
