Heard the rumours about Freight Corp too...but reckon thats all they are!
Freight Corp have left everything South of Couta. to whoever wants it. They
seem completely disinterested in the South. Even promised Millions to keep
the BrokenHill
up to scratch, after NR seemed to abandon it in favour of running via Melb.
Why would the Kennett Gov not want Wisconcin...whats wrong with it's money?
don't think Kennett cares who gets it as long as it goes!
The reason it was put back, was that no final Tenders were recieved. Cooper
is now negotiating new deals with amongst outhers Marinus Van O________//
and his highly placed group which included Serco.
By the way I sure hope Victrack is charging FreightCorp in a similar
fashion to the
charges that FreightCorp applied to the now sidelined V/Line SuperFreighter
Service to Brisbane. It was said around HeadOffice that the cost of Running
thru NSW, and back was equal to the cost of running Patricks Train to Perth
twice. This of course scuttled our first Brisbane Service in March..Wonder
what NR pays for access in
NSW
