As a railfan and a night club patron I found the NightLink trams a cheap
way to get around.
I found it particularly hard how-ever to convince
friends to wait around at tram stops in the middle of the night for a tram
which *might* turn up (no individual tram stop info).
I was very suprised to find no conductor, with ticket machines in use.
The service is / was mostly used by young people who would be more likely
to fare-evade.
The trams which I caught and saw were mostly empty.
The service was very poorly advertised, some of my non-railfan friends
found it hard to believe a tram would turn up at 3am.
I can't see the service running again, although it would be good.
