Does anyone know if the fans are planning to ride the last trip? It will be
late on Sunday night.
Apparently, the changeover will be fairly seamless in the early stages with
little to show the difference between the Government and private operations.
Melbourne will be the first capital city in Australia to lose its Government
bus service.
The new service, Melbourne Bus Link, opertated by the Dyson-East West
consortium will commence on Easter Monday (13 April 1998). Easter Monday is a
public holiday in Victoria.
