Talk about getting old. When I was a kid, these were not heritage
tramways, they were tramways. I even rode on them on day trips my parents
made to those towns from Melbourne. The Eaglehawk line in Bendigo was my
favourite because it was so long.
>From memory, I was the only passenger on any of the lines I rode in
either city, outnumbered by the driver and conductor. I presume that was
why they closed. Amazing they lasted so long.... when did they close ....
