Hard to tell without the precise time. It could be (8219) 12.55 down
South Geelong (ex-Spencer Street). The current Network Service Plan
however does not show this train originating at Flinders Street.

Are you sure about this, even during the peak hours? Perhaps you should
take another look on the track capacity from Burnley to Flinders
Street. My copy of the current W.T.T. shows little spare capacity for
up and down AM peak at Burnley is reasonably full (including a number of
empty car going to various stabling sidings). The empty car (or
non-revenue) services are not shown on the general public timetables.
