Further to other posts I have made on this newsgroup regarding linking
rail networks to shopping centres I remembered a trip I did on the
suburban rail network in Adelaide not too long ago. I travelled down the
southern line to a really big shopping centre - Noarlunga I think was
the name but I could be corrected on this point.
Now I am not sure which came first - the shopping centre or the railway
line but I would be interested to hear what the effect on patronage has
been as a result of the connection of the shopping centre (or building
of it) on the suburban railway network.
