Some things NEVER change
Hi,
in an era of rapid change in the Australian rail industry, it's great to
see that some things don't change.
Today 29/8/97 was a case in point, with a Geelong based driver retiring
after 45 years of service. His last run was on 8217 MSS-GEX with B76,
and in the traditional manner, many (many, many) detonators were
exploded by B76 all the way from Geelong A Box to Platform 1.
B76 carried a special headboard to mark the occasion. The board was
removed at Warrnambool (not before this Conny got several pictures!)
Regards,
Craig (thankful that not everything has changed in this caper!)
