BPR is to return Klondyke to service early next month. The oil fired
0-4-2T was built by Perry in 1927 has been under restoration at a factory
in Moorabbin since the mid 1980s. Previously she was stored at
Queenscliff, and before that at Belmont Common. She returned to
Queenscliff earlier this year for final restoration.

Ex-APC Husdwell Clarke No.6 has also been overhauled and fitted with air
brakes, although does not have its own compressor.

Both are expected to return to service on 2/11/97 with a special train to
Lakers Siding at 9.30, then running the regular 13.30 Lakers Siding the
same day. If all goes well, the 14.30 Drysdale may run as a triple header
with PB15.454.

Cheers
David
