The city of Athínai/Athens already operates a trolleybus system which
belongs to the largest ones in the area which could be best described as
"The formerly politically western part of Europe."

The trolleybuses are still running strong there, and a maybe even more
important rôle in the tragedie of congestion and air pollution in
Athínai/Athens is likely due to the replacement of older buses by new
ones, even if I don't know about actual expansion proposals.
