GM1 was in Adelaide on Saturday 4th of October to get its wheels
turned. It has been painted in original Commonwealth Railways colours.
It went back to Port Augusta the same day.

Rumour has it that it went back for a touch up as the paint work was
damaged by a tree branch when it left the works.

I'm not sure what will happen to it now as rumour has it that it was a
project of the previous transport minister. Apparently it is to be
retained in Commonwealth owenership instead of going to the buyers of
AN. Maybe the National Museum wants it. They can take it to Canberra
and put it on show. Somewhere it never went before in its life.
